DEADVLEI
Deadvlei or "dead marsh " is a white clay pan near Sossusvlei in the Namib-Naukleft national park in Namibia. The water in this pan dried out hundreds of years ago and now comes in the form of once in a decade rainfalls. the result is a large amount of dead camelthorn trees, which have been conserved by the extremely dry climate which protects the trees from decay.
